What are the additional benefits Total Assist offers for Cars?

With Total Assist, you are also entitled to the following benefits:

  • Alternative Travel Assistance of up to RM100

In the event of an accident or a breakdown, you will be reimbursed a maximum of RM100 to continue your journey. This benefit only applies when your vehicle is 100 kilometres or more from your place of residence and repair work to the vehicle will take more than 48 hours to complete.

  • Alternative Accommodation Assistance of up to RM100

In the event of an accident or a breakdown, you will be reimbursed a maximum of RM100 for accommodation before continuing your journey. This benefit is valid only when your vehicle is 100 kilometres or more from the place of your residence and repair work to the vehicle will take more than 48 hours to complete.

  • Interstate Ambulance Service

In the event of an accident where you are hospitalised due to being paralysed and/or loss of limb(s) and you request to be transferred to another hospital, MASA will assist in arranging for your transportation to the medical centre. However, any costs incurred will be borne totally and directly by you.

  • Privileged Car Rentals

You are entitled for a discount of up to 30% on published rates for car rentals from any of MASA’s car rental partners. All rentals and other costs incurred will be borne totally and directly by you.

  • Emergency Message Transmission

In the event of an emergency, MASA will inform your next-of-kin within a reasonable time frame from when they receive the news of your incident.

  • Emergency Evacuation Assistance

In the event of an accident, MASA shall arrange on a service-basis, an ambulance or other means of transportation to send you to the nearest public or private medical centre or hospital. The cost for any medical treatment received by the insured shall be borne totally and directly by you.

  • Repatriation Assistance

In the event when your vehicle cannot be repaired at the service centre or panel repairer that you have sent the vehicle to, MASA shall assist to rescue and transfer the vehicle to a service centre or a panel repairer that is competent to complete the repair work. However, any costs incurred from this will be borne totally and directly by you.

  • Home Assistance

You are entitled to request for assistance in arranging the following:

  • Plumbing repairs.
  • Air-conditioning service and repairs.
  • Electrical wiring repairs.
  • Locksmiths.
  • Cleaning of carpets.

The costs of any service requested and received by the insured will be borne totally and directly.

  • Concierge and Lifestyle Assistance

You are entitled to request for any assistance in organising the following services:

  • Hotel and restaurant reservations.
  • Golf tee-off reservations at your preferred golf club.
  • Flower deliveries.
  • Travel ticket reservations.

The cost of any service requested and received will be borne totally and directly by you.
